DC Blocks are often used in CATV or satellite receiving systems to block DC current and protect downstream equipment.
Important criteria to judge the quality of a DC Block are insertion loss, return loss and voltage withstanding.
A low insertion loss is important to ensure minimum attenuation of the signal caused by inserting the DC Block. A high return loss ensures a good impedance match and keeps the signal free of unwanted reflection interference. A high voltage withstanding is necessary to guarantee a better protection of the downstream equipment.
Soontai's DB1 series DC Block embodies excellent performance in all three above mentioned criteria. At the same time it is mini-size with dimensions of only 12.5 x 30 mm. The housing incorporates a hexagon-nut shape for easy installation with a spanner.
Our DC Block is also suitable for other 75 Ohm systems and testing equipment.
